DJ Jaimz's Biography
Jaimz has been an obsessive music collector since the mid 90s. After tasting the world of underground dance parties, he explored deeper, finding Industrial, Detroit Techno, London Acid and finally discovering that the complex yet crisp sounds of Psychedelic Trance were most attuned to his frequency.
In early 2000, DJ Jaimz formed the Discordian Monkey Tribe, a group of like-minded individuals, and started to promote and DJ in and around Sydney. His passion lead him to travel to Europe, to see for his own eyes the various Psychedelic Trance scenes there, and soon found himself living in Amsterdam. By this time Jaimz had connected with the Hong Kong-based Saiko Sounds online record store, and after helping them with their website, a strong relationship grew that lead to him working as one of their senior A+Rs and representing their store and their music policy around the world.
By late 2002 Jaimz was back in Sydney and playing regularly at outdoor and indoor psychedelic trance parties. The following year, together with Eegor, he reformed the Discordian Monkey Tribe, throwing outdoor parties of a consitantly high quality. He has also begun to source out music as A&R of his record label Sonic Dragon.
