The second release of Australian label Zenon Records, “Permutations” contains nine tracks of dark, deep and funky psygressive trance. All tracks included are previously unreleased, and are chosen first and foremost for their ability to stand the test of time. This music will last long after the “dancefloor moment” has come and gone. Having said that, these tracks can still cause some serious digging! A must have for all psy freaks lovers.
1. Kent – “Bush Too” (This powerful French artist makes groovy and dark, tech-progressive music. With previous releases on Databass and Sub-Machine, we are very proud to have Kent on board.)
2. SunControlSpecies – “From within to without” (A fresh up and comer from Australia, the music of SCS crosses the rift between progressive trance and more action packed trance. It is music for the mind as well as the feet. Album soon on ZMA…)
3. Cujorius One – “Gelfling Gaggle” (Danish darkness with original flavour, their music was released on Novatekk and Leviathan. This is dark, grinding music for the evil hours).
4. Sensient – “Ballistic” (Manager of Zenon Records, Sensient gives us a smooth and powerful track, with the dark sounds and complex percussion that has become his trademark.
5. Legohead vs Sensient – “Modus Operandi” (Two of Australias’ well known producers combine their individual styles to create a crazy and unique hybrid of progressive/full on).
6. Krumelur – “You Decide” (The Swedish master is back with another dose of crazy forest funk, dripping with effects and atmosphere…he is pushing boundaries!)
7. Praecox – “Noye Frizur” (A superior piece of tight, funk-groove from the former BigWig. Crystal clear production and original sounds…)
8. FREq – “Incense Tree” (This track is deep, slick and progressive. FREq has quickly become one of the hottest names on the progressive psy scene. He has releases on Plusquam, Flow and an album soon to be released on Iboga).
9. Moses – “Dehydrated” (Moses is one half of Loopiter who released an album on Global Trance Network in 2001. Subtle and intricate, this is a beautiful deep progressive track that soothes the mind and the soul.) |
